Some years ago I took a course in the historical books of the Bible. One of my assignments was to make a chart of the kings of Israel and Judah. I listed whether they were good or bad and in what ways they were weak. With only a handful of exceptions, I noticed that even kings who started out great usually fell hard later.

I have issues with letting go.  You know, letting go what is not my responsibility (why did I grab it in the first place?), letting go too late, grabbing what is not mine to grab and quite often thinking that I am responsible for the things that are actually God's responsibility.

Back before I’d ever published anything, I used to look at all the books on the market and think, “Do we really need another book on prayer?” or “Why a new book on marriage?” or “Why would someone want to publish another Bible study on Sermon on the Mount?”   What I didn’t realize back then but came
