I like the NET. I use it all the time. However, I have a concern; at least a question. Why does the NET translate "flesh" (sarx from the Greek) into
"human nature" in John 6:63, when all along in that chapter Jesus was talking about "flesh" (sarx)? It seems like "human nature" misses something. It was His flesh that He was giving for the world; not just His "human nature." Yes, His main point was that His words bring life, and that was his main point in :63. Why not leave it as is? Why not leave "flesh" to emphasize that He was stressing His words more than anything, since that is what must be believed for eternal life; the words about His "flesh," that is? With the use of "human nature" in place of "flesh" in that verse: if this is not an "emergent" sort of idea, then can you tell me what it is? And why? I have been puzzled about that verse for a long time. Thank you.
