Michael Jackson and Identity theft

Michael Jackson, just the name evokes an array of emotion. The television is playing in the background as the media world prepares for his memorial service at the Staples Center. He was a superstar, he was a hurt little boy, an accused child molester, a generous giver, a lover of all things young and innocent. What interests me most is Jackson's loss of identity. His gradual surgical changes over the past twenty-five years is evidence enough to convict him of being a lost soul. I am saddened by anyone who is tortured by fame, and money became his tool of self-destruction. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, in the case of Michael Jackson-mission accomplished. Don't all of us suffer to some degree the pressures of the world system that attempts to develop a false self. Christ came to form in us his character so that we would live our lives as though it were him living it. Our identity is built by Christ, for Christ and to be like Christ. There is an inner power and structure he gives us that keeps us from being kidnapped by the enemy for reprogramming. Michael Jackson was a tragic life because he was tortured by the enemy, the result was his disfigurement in both body and soul. So I am saddened today, I lament his passing, his destruction, not only of him, but of his family, friends, and his entourage. Jackson is not the enemy of goodness, he was the victim of the enemy. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep, the enemy destroys and kills his followers. Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep and they know me."  Jesus is known by his followers, he tells us who we are, and we live life in light of who he says we are. Michael never made that connection, that which is  twisted and evil destroyed him. I pray for his soul today....... I am not sure praying for departed souls does any good, but why not.
