So, is 'no' your answer to "Is Obama God's elected leader?" Is Obama a Pharaoh of sorts, "not God's desire or good and perfect will" and reason for why God should "have mercy on us all"?
With all due respect, your post seems to pay lip service to Romans 13 or to the idea that God is sovereign. God's sovereignty and appointment of authorities would, of course, be true had McCain been elected, and yet I get the feeling that your post might have then been one of thanksgiving for God's blessing, rather than a plea for God's mercy.
I find it incongruous to assert that God is sovereign and has our best interests in mind at all times, but seemingly from this post, only to thank him for those situations in which our desires are met, and when they are not, to ask for mercy.
