I am a big fan of bible software, and as a PC user I have long enjoyed BibleWorks. (I even moonlight for them as a regional trainer here on campus, teaching training seminars for our students about twice a year.) At the end of 2008 they released version 8. I recently installed it, and really like what I see so far. There has not been any type of facelift to the interface, but there are a lot of modifications both under the hood and on the surface which make it a worthwhile investment
One example: Included in the base price of the module now are three standard grammars: Exegetical
Syntax of the New Testament (Wallace), Introduction to Biblical Hebrew
Syntax (Waltke & O'Connor), and A Grammar of Biblical Hebrew (Joüon
& Muraoka). Having those now included in the package is a nice touch, and almost worth the price of the upgrade. This illustrates part of the philosophy of Bibleworks, which is to include as much as possible in the base package

I think you have correctly stated their philosophy.
Very nice write-up Mike, glad you like the software. I too love it.
Not to be a pain in the tuckus or anything, but Balz and Schneider are not a part of the base package. I would love it if it was, that and BDF.
Here's the base package listing [http://www.bibleworks.com/content/full.html].
Here's the module listing [http://store.bibleworks.com/modules.html].
As you have correctly stated their philosophy (based on my personal experience as well as yours), I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the future ....
Anyways, FYI. You may get some mail on this.
Scott
Yes, you are right. I should have been thinking of the grammars they now include, and I made a mistake and transferred that over to EDNT. I'll rewrite soon to correct. Thanks!
