I do not have many details, but supposedly the tomb of King Herod, died in 4 BC or so, has been discovered at Herodium.
There is a press conference tomorrow in Israel. Archaeologists at Hebrew University will announce the find, which supposedly is located between two palaces he built on a mount that sits near Bethlehem (the earlier version of this post said a locale near Jericho was in view).
I will keep my eyes on this one.
