Dr. Darrell Bock is Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He also is Professor for Spiritual Development and Culture there. He is an Editor at Large for Christianity Today and is a Past President of the Evangelical Theological Society (2000-2001). Thanks for your post. I am very thankful that academics now blog and get the information on controvertial issues out faster. My family is South Asian and last December National Geographic ran an episode on Jesus being in India, and a number of members of my family swallowed it alive... and I was totally unprepared for this, and unable to refute it. I am much more ready now.
Anyway, my point it that your post really helps people like me. When I get back home during my next break, I know I will get hit with all this Lost Tomb stuff. I dont have a choice in the matter, as I do not come from a Christian family. To try to ignore it is not possible. I do not have that luxury.
